About Bloom Aromatherapy
The Story of how we bloomed.
Bloom Aromatherapy™ was born from a deeply personal journey rooted in wellness, family, and the desire to create a cleaner and safer way to enjoy scent in the home.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, we began researching ways to help clean and purify indoor air without relying on harsh chemicals or products that left behind residue and moisture that could potentially attract mold and bacteria. We became fascinated with antimicrobial nano silver and methods of dispersing it through HVAC and ventilation systems to help create cleaner indoor environments and reduce potential airborne contaminants.
While researching advanced air and scent technologies, we discovered Japanese waterless cold-air diffusion technology. Unlike traditional water diffusers that use water and oils to create a heavy vapor mist, cold-air diffusion transforms aroma oils into ultra-fine dry nano particles without using water or heat. This immediately stood out to us as a cleaner, more advanced approach to scenting.
Almost loosing our fur baby.
Around the same time during Covid, our beloved family fur baby Loki, a 50lb African Serval Cat, suddenly became extremely sick. Loki was hospitalized and began showing signs of liver failure. Like many pet owners, we were devastated and determined to figure out what was causing it.
We started removing everything in our home that could potentially be contributing to his condition. We changed his food, litter, household cleaning supplies, and even the candles we loved using daily. Despite all of this, Loki continued getting worse.
Eventually, we removed the water-based diffusers we had running throughout multiple rooms in our home.
Within weeks, Loki slowly began recovering. He started eating again, playing again, and eventually returned to being the happy, energetic kitty we knew and loved.

What we later discovered changed everything for us.
Traditional water diffusers simply combine water and oils to create a visible vapor mist. That mist contains much larger aroma droplets which settle onto surfaces throughout the home, leaving behind oily residue. If not cleaned constantly, water diffusers can also begin growing mold and bacteria inside the unit itself, which may then become dispersed back into the air.
Because the vapor particles are much larger, the residue can collect on floors, furniture, fabrics, and pets. Dogs and cats do not process certain compounds the same way humans do. They lack some of the liver enzymes needed to properly break down and eliminate many substances from their systems. Over time, repeated exposure and buildup may potentially become harmful or even fatal in some cases.
For Loki, we believe the larger oil vapor particles and residue may have been absorbed through his paws while walking around the home, through his fur, or through inhalation over time.
After discovering cold-air diffusion technology, we were honestly hesitant to ever try scenting our home again. We did not want to risk putting Loki or our family through another frightening experience. But after extensive research into waterless cold-air diffusion systems, we cautiously decided to give it a try because we still loved the emotional and atmospheric benefits scent brought into our lives.
The difference was incredible.
Because cold-air diffusers do not use water, there is no standing moisture where mold or bacteria can grow. There is no need for constant dumping and cleaning of dirty water reservoirs. Instead, the technology creates ultra-fine dry nano particles measured in parts per million that disperse evenly through the air without leaving behind oily residue like traditional vapor diffusers.
We were amazed by the technology, the cleanliness of the scent experience, and the peace of mind it gave us as pet owners.
Already having strong ties within the HVAC and home comfort industry, we realized we had an opportunity to bring this technology to more homes and families searching for a cleaner, safer, and more luxurious scenting experience.
